This was painted on a visit to County Antrim in Northern Ireland last fall.  When our host saw this painting, she told me that the place is considered sacred by the Irish.  It is described in the tourist literature as a "massive heather covered mountain (1695 ft) crowned by Carn na Truagh (the cairn of sorrow)."  Well, massive maybe by Irish standards, but like much of Ireland, haunted nonetheless.
